Brick Maxwell and his squadron of Roadrunners are flying cover for the President of Taiwan's jetliner when it's blown out of the sky. Other than a slight shimmer of light preceding the catastrophe, there's no visible reason for the explosion. But Maxwell suspects that China has stolen the plans for the Black Star -- a virtually invisible superstealth fighter. Now a full-scale war is inevitable -- unless Maxwell and a team of commandos can hijack the state-of-the-art killing machine. But with a beautiful defector of dubious loyalties guiding them, the mission could take a wrong turn at any moment ...

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING ABOUT
BLACK STAR

"Nobody is better than Gandt at describing the ambience and occasional loneliness of life on an aircraft carrier."
-- The Hook: Journal of Carrier Aviation

"Once again Gandt has proven his mastery of the written word, dragging his readers from page to page through the wee dark hours of the night. A darn good story well told with international intrigue, a small war, dogfights, special ops, all merging into what we predict will be another hit."
-- Pacific Flyer

"He writes for all of us Walter Mittys who know we could fly the hot jets and save the world if only life gave us the chance."
-- Stephen Coonts, author of Flight of the Intruder

Hi, Are any of your other fiction works other than Black Star available in large print format? I love your writing, but really must have large print to be able to read it. I have contacted Wheeler publishing by email (they did Black Star), and asked them about it, but have not heard back. Thanks for any insight you can provide, Abe Klagsbrun Kirkland, WA

Hello Mr. Gandt, I came across your book "Black Star" in the library and out of curiosity started reading it. It was so much enchanting and engrossing that I slogged throughout the weekend to finish it and started my other activities only after finishing the reading. You are a great writer, I hope to see the hollywood movies translated out of your scripts soon.

Hi, your books are great. I was wondering why in "Black Star" we didn't use the USA version of
the Black Star aircraft against the Chinese version? Thanks, looking forward to your next book
in November.
